The project will see the construction of a 60 MW solar farm in the country's Jurong Island.

The solar farm is expected to generate enough electricity to power 15,000 homes and reduce carbon emissions by 46,000 tons per year.

EDP Group will be responsible for the development and construction of the solar farm, while Microsoft will purchase the electricity generated from the project.

The partnership is part of Microsoft's commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2030.
