Workers Remove Snow from Highmark Stadium Ahead of Bills-Steelers Game

Buffalo Prepares for Snow-Covered Matchup

Orchard Park, NY – Sunday, January 22, 2023

Crews have been working tirelessly to clear snow from Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, ahead of the Buffalo Bills' Monday afternoon matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The stadium was buried in several feet of snow after a massive winter storm hit the region last week, but workers have made significant progress in removing the accumulation.

The Bills posted photos of the stadium covered in snow on Friday, but by Sunday, the playing field and surrounding areas were largely clear. The team said the stadium is expected to be ready for the game, which is scheduled to start at 1:00 PM ET.

The Bills are coming off a 35-23 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, while the Steelers lost to the Cleveland Browns 28-14. The game is expected to be a close one, and the weather could play a factor.

The National Weather Service is forecasting snow showers in the Orchard Park area on Monday, with temperatures in the low 20s. However, the Bills are confident that the stadium will be ready for the game.

"We're used to playing in tough weather conditions," said Bills coach Sean McDermott. "We're going to be ready for whatever the Steelers bring."

The Steelers, meanwhile, are hoping to rebound from their loss to the Browns. They will be led by quarterback Kenny Pickett, who threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns last week.

"We're going to have to play our best game of the season," said Steelers coach Mike Tomlin. "The Bills are a tough opponent, especially in their home stadium."
